Excellent Exam Results For Maria’s Care Primary School Leavers

Monday, February 20th, 2012

Passing the Primary School Leavers’ exam is very important for all pupils in Uganda. This takes place at the end of the school year in November and ensures they can move on to secondary or vocational education.
Results come through in January before the start of the new academic year, and are graded in Divisions 1 to 4.  It was with great pride that Maria’s Care manager Jackie Oba,  reported that the top four pupils at Maria’s Care were sponsored who had all  achieved Division 1. In Division 2, 19 pupils passed of whom four were children sponsored by CRU. Standards continue to rise at the school, particularly in Maths,  thanks to the professional and hard working staff for whom CRU has funded In Service training over the past four years. Pupils will go on either to Secondary School to ‘O’ level, or to Vocational Training colleges.

Congratulations to Maria’s Care from the Speaker of Ugandan Parliament

Maria’s Care Manager, Jackie Oba was invited to a New Year Party organized at Kamuli Town Council by Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, MP, and Speaker of Parliament.
Jackie writes,” It was a colourful day for Maria’s Care as the Honorable Kadaga in her speech thanked the Manager on behalf of the community of Kamuli for a good job well done in lifting the standards of the school academically and in the entire district.”
